On Friday, a 16-year-old boy turned himself in to Toronto police, the service said in a news release. He has been charged with first-degree murder.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday at 10 a.m.

Last month, two other teenagers turned themselves in to police and were also charged with first-degree murder.

Police are continuing to appeal for information from the public connected to the case.

Staff at a community health centre in Scarborough described Sarr as a kind, hardworking teenager who had a bright future ahead of him.
