Going, going, gone? Jays playoff hype may be dropping as resale ticket prices plunge
In at least one case, tickets for must-win playoff game had been sold at as low as $12

It seems some Toronto Blue Jays fans have already hopped off the post-season bandwagon with resale ticket prices to tonight's must-win Game 4Â slipping to just $12 online in some cases.
Enthusiasm was high after the Jays bested the Baltimore Orioles in the American League wild-card game and swept the Texas Rangers in the American League Division Series. Fans then clamoured to get their hands on tickets for the American League Championship Series home games.
Afternoon free on a sunny October day? Jays tickets are suddenly much cheaper on resale sites...

But after three losses to Cleveland, the Jays find themselves on the brink of elimination and it seems enthusiasm has dropped dramatically, along with ticket prices to the do-or-die game.

Some have blamed the dip in prices on fair-weather fans abandoning ship as the Jays find themselves in troubled waters.Â
Others pointed at the league for scheduling games during the afternoon, while others went further and said people in Toronto are just not that into baseball — or sports, in general.

Blue Jays ticket prices for game 4 of the ALCS have dropped from $200 to $40 (and sinking) on Stubhub. Toronto is such a bandwagon city.
