Toronto women represent! Superwoman, WondaGurl and Hatecopy grace boss Elle Canada cover

3 Toronto-area women doing big things

Work it.

YouTube star Superwoman (Lilly Singh), producer WondaGurl (Ebony Oshunrinde) and artist Hatecopy (Maria Qamar) were heralded as the "new wave" on the March cover of Elle Canada. And their legion of fans could not agree more: Toronto women represent!

Singh, 27, recently made Forbes' 30 Under 30 list and is among the highest-paid YouTube personalities.

Brampton-based Oshunrinde, who is 19, produced a beat for Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail at just 16 years old and went on to produce two songs for Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late.

Qamar, 25, encapsulates growing up South Asian in her pop-style art. She started to draw the widely-shared images after losing her job at a Toronto ad agency last year. She now sells prints, T-shirts and tote bags emblazoned with her drawings.

Fans were thrilled with the cover, featuring the women as the bosses they are.
