Man dead after stabbing in Toronto's east end

The stabbing happened near Danforth Avenue and Hillingdon Avenue, the Toronto Police Service said in a post to X.

A man in his 20s in dead after being stabbed in Toronto's East Danforth area Tuesday night. 

The stabbing happened near Danforth Avenue and Hillingdon Avenue, the Toronto Police Service said in a post to X. 

Police were called about the incident just after 11 p.m. When they arrived, officers found a man suffering from stab wounds. 

He was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but later died in hospital.

The homicide unit of the Toronto Police Service is now investigating. 

Officers have taped off a section of Danforth Avenue between Coxwell and Hillingdon Avenues Wednesday morning while they investigate. Several evidence markers were placed in a parking lot at the scene.  

Police are searching for a male suspect who is about five-feet-five-inches tall with a thin build, who was wearing a grey hoodie and dark pants at the time of the incident.
