GTA school bus, class cancellations on Feb. 2, 2015

A number of school boards throughout the GTA have already cancelled all classes and bus service for the day.

A winter storm that rolled over southern Ontario Sunday and continued to dump snow overnight is creating difficult driving conditions for commuters. 

Schools within the Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Boards remain open, but bus service has been cancelled. 

Similarly, Durham District School Board and Durham Catholic District School Board schools are open, but all transportation has been cancelled. 

All schools in the York Region District School Board, with the exception of Bill Crothers Secondary School, are closed for a PD day. Bill Crothers remains open, but bus service has been cancelled. 

The following school boards have cancelled all transportation services and closed all schools and offices for Monday: 

  • Halton District School Board
  • Halton Catholic District School Board
  • Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board
  • Peel District School Board
  • Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board
  • Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board
  • Niagara District School Board
  • Niagara Catholic District School Board
  • Grand-Erie District School Board
  • Holy Trinity School in Richmond Hill
  • The Mississauga Children Montessori School
  • Reach Out Centre for Kids offices 
  • Grandview Children's Centre
  • Crestwood School (Crestwood Preparatory College will remain open)

McMaster University, University of Toronto Mississauga, Brock University, Humber College, Mohawk College, Sheridan College, Trillium College and Centennial College have also cancelled classes for the day.
