Kanye West, Deadmau5 get in Twitter fight over pirated software
Rapper rips Canadian electronic musician, asks him to play daughter's birthday party
Kanye West has launched another one of his trademark Twitter tirades and Canadian electronic dance producer Deadmau5 is his latest target.
West is fighting back against tweets posted by the DJ from Niagara Falls, Ont. He called West out for posting a photo that appeared to show the rapper pirating music editing software.
Do you do birthday parties?? My daughter loves Minnie mouse…

Deadmau5, whose real name is Joel Zimmerman, then tweeted a tongue-in-cheek proposal to crowdfund enough money to buy West a legal copy.
Within hours, West shot back with a few choice insults for Deadmau5, aimed directly at his trademark mouse-themed headgear.
Imma let you finish.... But you should probably be saving the money for a 4th grade education. https://t.co/1yqBoIg1Z1

He asked whether Zimmerman checked his mouse head when boarding a flight or brought it onboard as a carry-on item. He then requested that Zimmerman dress as Minnie Mouse for his daughter's birthday party. West didn't address the accusations of pirating software.
Zimmerman and West both own stakes in the Tidal streaming music service, which hosted the debut of West's new album last month. The rapper encouraged his fans to pay for a Tidal subscription rather than illegally downloading his album.
