Kiko the giraffe moving to the Toronto Zoo
A popular giraffe born at the Greenville Zoo in South Carolina back in 2012 is leaving for a zoo in Toronto.
A popular giraffe born at the Greenville Zoo in South Carolina back in 2012 is leaving for a zoo in Toronto.

Greenville Zoo officials announced on Tuesday that Kiko, a 2-year-old Masai giraffe, is heading north to join two female giraffes in hopes of breeding at the Toronto Zoo.
Animal lovers were able to watch Kiko's birth live on the internet at the Greenville Zoo back in October of 2012. The Greenville Zoo is staging a goodbye for Kiko on Saturday.
A Species Survival Program of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums recommended the move to Canada. The program works to ensure the survival of species and to ensure genetic diversity.
