Toronto police have identified the victims of Tuesday's deadly shooting at Muzik nightclub as a 26-year-old woman, as well as a 23-year-old man who was due in court this week on drug charges.

Police said Ariela Navarro-Fenoy, of Toronto, and Duvel Hibbert, of Brampton, were killed after gunfire broke out around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Hibbert was scheduled to appear at Toronto's Old City Hall Court on Thursday on charges related to the possession and trafficking of drugs.

Officers who responded to the gunfire inside Muzik found Hibbert on the club's patio. He was declared dead at the scene.

The shooting continued outside on Dufferin Street as the panicked crowd spilled out of the club at Exhibition Place and onto nearby streets.

Navarro-Fenoy was located by police just north of the Dufferin Gates. She was rushed to hospital, where she later died.

Her sister told CBC News on Wednesday that Navarro-Fenoy was on her way home from the club when she was shot.

"She was caught at the wrong place at the wrong time," the sister said. "She's an innocent victim of this whole situation."

A crowdfunding campaign has raised more than $12,000 for the young woman's funeral. A similar campaign has also been started for Hibbert.

Tuesday morning's violence also left three other people injured. They were taken to hospital and are expected to survive.

No arrests have been made.

At the time of the shooting, the club was packed with revellers attending an after party of the OVO Fest, hosted by Toronto rapper Drake.

Police are urging anyone who was at the club to come forward with information that can help with the investigation.

Police have released descriptions of two men they say are persons of interest:

  • For the shooting at the club, police are looking for a black man, about six feet tall, 25 or 26 years old with a fresh buzzcut. He was wearing a purple crewneck sweater and dark blue jeans.
  • For the shooting outside the Dufferin Gates, police are looking for a brown-skinned male, 5-5" to 5-11" tall with a skinny build, between 24 and 28 years of age. He was wearing a yellow and burgundy plaid button-up shirt.
