Significant damage to truck

An ice cream truck reported stolen in Barrie, Ont., on Tuesday was found early Wednesday morning in Bracebridge, Ont., with significant damage to the vehicle.

The thief or thieves smashed the driver's side window of the truck and manipulated the ignition to steal the truck sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

An extension cord connected to the truck to power the refrigerating unit was found severed, making it difficult to keep any products inside the truck frozen.

The white Chevrolet truck had ice cream cones, sundaes, popsicles and slushies all over the side of it, which police said made it an easy vehicle to locate.
