Police say they are looking for five suspects, one as young as 11, after a potentially hate-motivated swarming attack in Oshawa, Ont.

Durham police say a group of young people were causing a disturbance at a Pizza Pizza restaurant on Wednesday shortly after midnight.

They say store surveillance footage shows one person jumping behind the counter to take something and the victim tried to stop them, before being swarmed and assaulted by others in the group.

Family and community members are speaking out after a Muslim businesswoman was attacked in Oshawa. CBC's Dale Manucdoc has the details — and reaction.

The victim, a Muslim woman, had her hijab ripped off and was kicked repeatedly during the attack.

Police say they are looking for three girls between the ages of 11 to 15 and two boys whose ages are unknown.

Investigators say surveillance video captured the incident and are advising anyone involved in the swarming, or those with information, to contact police.
