Power restored to nearly 2,700 customers in midtown, Toronto Hydro says

Power has been restored to approximately 2,700 customers in midtown Toronto.

Power has been restored to approximately 2,700 customers in midtown Toronto.

Toronto Hydro told CBC Toronto the outage was resolved as of 3 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Earlier in the day, the company said it was experiencing a loss of supply from its transmitter, Hydro One.

The outage impacted areas south of Eglinton Avenue to Davenport Road and east of Bathurst Street to Mount Pleasant Road.

In a social media post, Toronto Hydro said it was working with Hydro One to restore power. 

The outage started at 12:18 p.m. and was initially set to be resolved by 6 p.m.

The loss of supply affected several condo buildings, a spokesperson for Toronto Hydro told CBC Toronto in an email.
