Police say a 99-year-old Toronto woman has died nearly a week after she was struck while walking across an intersection in the city's east end.

Police say a 99-year-old Toronto woman has died nearly a week after she was struck while walking across an intersection in the city's east end.
Police were called to the intersection of Victoria Park and Sunrise avenues around 1 p.m. last Tuesday, police said in a news release.
A 40-year-old man driving a black Mercedes Benz was trying to make a left turn onto Sunrise Avenue when he struck the senior, the news release said.
The woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police say, while the driver remained on scene.
Anyone who has information or footage of the area or incident is asked to reach out to police, or provide information anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
The police investigation is ongoing.
