Sina Parsi hasn't been seen in days after leaving a soccer game in Vaughan, Ont. Police have found surveillance footage of him walking near Jane and Eglinton and are now searching nearby parks.

The York Regional Police homicide unit is combing through parkland in Toronto's west end as it investigates the disappearance of a Vaughan man who was last seen leaving a soccer game earlier this week.

Sina Parsi, 32, left a game in the Teston Road and Highway 400 area on Tuesday around 10:15 p.m. ET. He drove away in his 2012 black Dodge Ram pick-up truck.

On Thursday, police found his truck in a Jane Street and Alliance Avenue area parking lot around 1:15 a.m. Parsi was not with the vehicle, but a passerby found his wallet nearby.

Parsi was also captured on security camera footage getting out of his truck and walking south on Jane Street before disappearing from view.

Parsi's wife, Roya, says her husband's disappearance is out of character.

"This is a very severe situation," she told reporters at the scene on Friday, adding Parsi would text her if he was planning to stay out late.

It's believed that Parsi is without his cellphone.

York Regional Police Const. Laura Nicolle said that while the homicide squad has taken over the investigation, detectives are still treating this as a missing person case.

"Our homicide investigators have taken over simply because we're taking this very seriously," Nicolle told CBC News.

Parsi's friend, Mayhar Payravi, went to the Jane and Eglinton area on Friday to help with the search.

"We do still have hope he's out there," Payravi said. "All we need is people's help."

Parsi is described as a slim, five-foot-six tall man with short black hair. He is Middle Eastern and has a tanned complexion. On Tuesday, he was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt and black jogging pants. However, he may have had a change of clothes with him.
