Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto as a storm over Colorado heads for southern Ontario.
The storm is expected to arrive overnight, dropping about 5 cm of snow on the city. By Sunday night winds from the northeast are expected at 30 km/h, gusting to 50 km/h.
Between 15 and 20 cm of snow is expected along the north shore of Lake Erie, where winter storm warnings are in effect, from Windsor to Niagara.
"The combination of snow and blowing snow will make for difficult travelling conditions," said Environment Canada.
Toronto's high on Sunday will be -8 C, dropping to a low of -13 C that night.
