Toronto announced the start of an expanded recycling program that will soon include certain kinds of soft plastics, like milk bags.

Starting June 1, the newly-accepted recyclable plastics will mix in with the rest of the blue bins in the city.

Soft plastics, the city says, include milk bags, dry cleaning bags, newspaper/flyer bags, sandwich bags, in-store produce bags and frozen vegetable bags.
