Toronto's first ever cat café opens
You can now hang out with some feline friends at the café near College and Spadina
Cat cuddles with your coffee — that's a thing that you can now experience in Toronto.
The city's first ever cat café, TOT the Cat Café, opened its doors Monday on College Street near Spadina Avenue.
Friends and business partners, Kenneth Chai and Scott Tan are the cat fans behind the new café. The duo quit their jobs in Saskatoon and moved to Toronto, investing all their own money to realize their vision — a place that would offer both lattes and friendly felines.
TOT is the first cat café in Toronto but there are already several others across Canada. At least two feline friendly cafés are up and running in Quebec, there's one in Vancouver, and another cat-lover is hoping to open one in Edmonton.
The café is at 298 College St., and is now open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
