2 women in critical condition after being struck by vehicle in Mississauga

Two women have been taken to hospital in critical condition after they were struck by a vehicle in Mississauga on Friday evening, Peel police say.

Two women have been taken to hospital in critical condition after they were struck by a vehicle in Mississauga on Friday evening, Peel police say.

The collision happened in the area of Lakeshore Road West and Walden Circle. Police were called to the area shortly after 6:15 p.m.

Police said the driver remained on the scene.

One woman is in critical life-threatening condition, while the other is in critical but stable condition, according to Peel paramedics. 

As of 7 p.m. Friday, the intersection remained closed and drivers were urged to take alternate routes.

The major collision bureau of Peel Regional Police is investigating, police said in a post to X, formerly Twitter.
