Bob Probert Ride raises more than $100K for heart health in Windsor-Essex
Event raised $647,218.24 over the past six years
The annual Bob Probert Ride has raised more than $100,000 to support cardiac care in Windsor-Essex.

More than 1,000 bikers took part in the ride Sunday to take part in the seventh annual fundraiser for Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare in honour of the legendary Red Wings enforcer.
"You go through so many emotions when preparing for an event this large, especially one that is so near and dear to our hearts," explained Dani Probert, the hockey player's widow. "To see everything come together, hear the roar of the the bikes, share memories of Bob and raise much needed funds for cardiac care in our region, always has the entire Probert clan smiling from ear to ear."
The event raised $647,218.24 over the past six years. The total for the 2017 ride will be announced online in the net week weeks.
"Not only does The Bob Probert Ride raise money for cardiac rehab programs for our community, it also brings our community together," said Bill Marra, HDGH vice president of external affairs. "As I looked around, I couldn't help but feel the support, the passion and unity that continuously make this event a success."
