Carleton saw action in four games for the Sun
Chatham's Bridget Carleton has been released from the Connecticut Sun after being selected 21st overall in the WNBA draft.
During her four games on court for the Sun, Carleton snagged three rebounds and one assist.
Before the WNBA draft, Carleton was an award-winning player at Iowa State University. In previous interviews, Carleton told CBC she hopes to qualify for the 2020 Olympics.
The Sun waived the Chatham-born player to pick up Natisha Hiedeman, who had previously played for Atlanta.
In June Carleton was nominated for the 2019 NCAA Woman of the Year, an award which recognizes graduating female college athletes, for her time at Iowa State. Carelton had also previously been named the 2019 Big 12 Player of the Year, along with multiple other honours.
