SIU charges Chatham-Kent police officer with sexual assault, breach of trust

Ontario's Special Investigations Unit has charged a 46-year-old Chatham-Kent Police officer with sexual assault and breach of trust in connection with an incident from 2013.

Ontario's Special Investigations Unit has charged a Chatham-Kent police constable with one count of sexual assault.

The 46-year-old officer also faces one count of breach of trust by a public officer in connection with an incident from May 4, 2013 involving a 33-year-old woman.

The officer will appear in a Chatham court room on April 4.
