Chrysler is voluntarily recalling some of its 2022-2025 minivans to replace their side curtain airbags, if needed.

The recall potentially affects 250,651 vehicles in the U.S. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it's because some side curtain airbags may not hold enough pressure during deployment to limit the risk for passengers during certain types of crashes.

Canada's federal transportation regulator has also issued an airbag-related recall on nearly 22,000 Pacificas and Grand Caravan minivans from the same years.

"On certain vehicles, the side curtain airbag(s) may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the airbag(s) may not inflate properly in a crash," the Transport Canada notice reads.

Stellantis, Chrysler's parent company, said it's not aware of any related injuries or accidents, but it's urging customers to follow the instructions on their recall notices.

The company's minivans are assembled at the Stellantis plant in Windsor, Ont.
