City of Windsor opens emergency operations centre

Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens has tweeted that the city's emergency operations centre has been opened.

"To get a proper assessment of the damage and to coordinate our efforts," Dilkens wrote on Twitter.

A tornado touched down in LaSalle, Ont., Wednesday evening, Environment Canada confirmed. It appears it also touched down in Windsor.
