The study will be a joint project conducted by the University of Windsor and Michigan State University, according to Dwight Duncan, the interim board chairman and CEO of the bridge authority.
Duncan made the announcement at the Caboto Club during the annual general meeting for the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Both schools will examine and quantify the economic benefits from the construction of the new bridge, along with economic development stemming from the new crossing once it's in service.
