LaSalle police seize 130 fentanyl capsules, charge 20-year-old

Police in LaSalle have charged a 20-year-old Amherstburg woman with possessions of fentanyl after an investigation led to the seizure of 130 capsules of the highly addictive drug.

Police in LaSalle have charged a 20-year-old Amherstburg woman with possessions of fentanyl after an investigation led to the seizure of 130 capsules of the highly addictive drug.

Officers estimate the street value of the drugs at $9,100.

A 24-year-old Windsor man was also arrested in connection with the investigation for breaching bail conditions.

The woman also faces four counts of breaching bail conditions.

"The LaSalle Police Service would like to remind the community of the dangers of opiate use, specifically fentanyl," the service wrote in a news release.
