Outages across Essex County left 23,000 without power
Thousands of Hydro One customers in Essex County were without power Tuesday afternoon.
Hydro One said approximately 23,000 customers in an area blanketing nearly the entire county were without power after it lost 220 megawatts from two stations in the area at 1 p.m. Crews began investigating the cause of the outage shortly after.
The Town of Tecumseh reported a "power outage across the entire county" in a tweet around 1:30 p.m.

The Tecumseh fire department also said the outages affected parts of Oldcastle in the south end of the municipality.

Nancy Clark, a Hydro One spokeswoman, told CBC News power was restored to most residents by 1:50 p.m. She confirmed this loss of power was behind other outages to EnWin customers in Windsor and other energy providers in the area.
