Several Essex County libraries to reopen after bed bug scare

Several branches of the Essex County Library will reopen Wednesday after signs of bed bugs shut down the entire system.
Bed bugs remain a persistent problem at many London residences. They're a particular problem in buildings where vulnerable tenants have difficulty preparing their suites for spraying.

Several branches of the Essex County Library will reopen Wednesday after bed bugs shut down the entire system.

All 14 branches closed Monday after four locations were found to have bed bugs. Sites with bed bugs include Leamington, Kingsville-Highline, Lakeshore-Toldo and the administrative office.

Branches to reopen Wednesday: 

  • Cottam
  • Comber
  • Kingsville-Highline
  • Lakeshore-Toldo
  • Leamington
  • Stoney Point
  • Woodslee

All other branches will remain closed until inspections are completed.
