SIU investigate after Windsor man sustains hand injury following arrest

Ontario's Special Investigations Unit is investigating an incident involving Windsor police, after a man injured his hand following an arrest Tuesday night. 

Just before midnight on Tuesday, police came across a man who was wanted on several outstanding warrants. 

The 31-year-old man fled from the officers, who proceeded to chase him.

Police caught up to the man in a backyard on Vanier Street where they arrested him. 

The man was later transported to hospital where he was diagnosed with a hand injury.
