Caesars to continue to operate Windsor casino, province announces
Caesars and the OLG are expected to enter the new agreement in early 2026

Caesars Entertainment will continue to operate Windsor's casino for the next two decades, the provincial government announced Friday, after a procurement process headed by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).
The OLG and Caesars are expected to enter into the 20-year agreement in early 2026.
The announcement was made by Stan Cho, Ontario's tourism minister, in a news conference at the casino.
"At a time when geopolitical tensions are threatening to disrupt our economy, this new agreement between OLG and Caesars brings stability and peace of mind for thousands of local workers in Windsor," Cho said.
"Given its strong track record, intimate knowledge of the sector, and long-standing work in the community, our government is confident that Caesars will continue to serve Windsor and the surrounding area well for many years to come."
The casino first opened in Windsor in 1994, but has been operated by Caesars for 17 years. It employs about 1,800 people.
The previous agreement between the casino and the province had been extended multiple times, most recently until March 2026.
More to come.
