Windsor city council report card: Paul Borrelli - Ward 10

Borrelli is arguably the most entertaining or aggravating councillor, always ready with an earthy zinger. A vigorous user of social media, he was the butt of memes over dubious claim he was the one who got downtown farmers market moved. Claimed highest travel expenses in 2015.

Grade: C

Borrelli is arguably the most entertaining or aggravating councillor, always ready with a zinger. A vigorous user of social media, he was the butt of memes over the dubious claim he was the one who got the downtown farmers market moved. He reversed his position on Open Streets multiple times, once calling it "a misadventure in Fantasyland." Borrelli defended use of synthetic ice at Charles Clark Square, citing El Nino. He demanded the cycling committee account for riding habits of "guys wearing hoodies." Borrelli's votes typically fall in line with the mayor's. He claimed the highest travel expenses in 2015.

Attendance record: 91.43% (128 of 140 meetings)

Salary: $40,189.37

Travel expenses: $6,723.57

Social media: Tweets multiple times per week. Frequently on Facebook as well.

  • Money earmarked for North Service Road improvements

Quote: On Mayor Drew Dilkens: "If you have issues, he'll help you out. It's just a matter of connecting with him. I connect with him."
