Windsor doctor charged with fraud
Dr. Thomas J. Barnard, a physician in Windsor, Ont., has been charged with two counts of fraud for allegedly billing OHIP for services not rendered.

The OPP Anti-Rackets Branch of the Health Fraud Investigation Unit alleges Dr. Thomas J. Barnard, 61, committed two instances of fraud over $5,000.
Police said Monday that between 2007 and 2009 Barnard submitted fraudulent billings to the Ontario Health Insurance Plan for time-based services, which were not rendered.
Barnard is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Windsor on July 13.
Barnard is a family physician but also runs Fresh Medical Spa, a private spa in Windsor.
