Windsor police arrest woman, 40, following house fire on Grandview Street
No injuries reported, structure sustained approximately $75K in damage: police
Windsor police have arrested a 40-year-old woman following what they say was a deliberate house fire in the 3000 block of Grandview Street Tuesday morning.
At approximately 5 a.m., officers responded to an active fire at a residence in the area, police said in a news release, adding that Windsor Fire and Rescue Services extinguished the blaze.
No injuries were reported, but police say the structure sustained damage totalling approximately $75,000.
After investigating and reviewing surveillance footage, officers determined the fire had been set intentionally, police say.
Officers were able to identify the suspect and arrested the woman a short distance from the scene. She has been charged with arson causing property damage, police say.
