A Windsor man pleaded guilty to failing to release an undersized muskie in a way that would not cause further harm to the fish.
Last September, Edmond Parent was in a boat on the Detroit River.
Some nearby anglers caught him on camera hitting a fish on the head, then throwing it back in the water.
The video was posted on YouTube, where it was seen by conservation officials.
Parent has been fined $1,000 and is also banned from fishing for two years.
