Police nabbed a burglar crawling through the window of a home Tuesday after an alert neighbour spotted a suspicious man and called for help.

The man, 38, was riding a bike and carrying a backpack when he arrived in the area of Homedale Boulevard and Wyandotte Street around 2 p.m. and walked into the back yard of a home, according to police.

After getting a report from the neighbour, officers arrived and found the man crawling through a basement window. He was carrying break-and-enter tools and several stolen items, including a laptop computer and other electronics.
