Man arrested after an alleged Boxing Day carjacking in an alley in Walkerville

Officers responded to a reported robbery in the 1000 block of Moy Avenue just after 1 a.m. on Dec. 26. According to police, a suspect approached a man in the alley as the man was trying to get into his car.

A man has been arrested after an alleged carjacking in a Windsor alley last week. 

Officers responded to a reported robbery in the 1000 block of Moy Avenue in Walkerville just after 1 a.m. on Dec. 26. Police say someone approached a man in the alley as the man was trying to get into his car. 

The culprit allegedly threatened the victim with a firearm and a knife before leaving in the victim's vehicle. 

Police say no one was injured during the incident. They have since identified and arrested a suspect, a 35-year-old man. 

He has been charged with robbery with a weapon, pointing a firearm, uttering death threats, operating a car while prohibited and four counts of failing to comply with a release order.
