Windsor-Essex and much of southwestern Ontario were under a severe thunderstorm watch on Tuesday that has now ended.
Environment Canada had said Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton could see thunderstorms bringing wind gusts of up to 110 km/h and large hail of up to four centimetres, with the added risk of a tornado.
"A cold front moving through the area is expected to trigger severe thunderstorms this afternoon," Environment Canada said in a statement.
The storm was expected Tuesday afternoon into evening. Residents were encouraged to take cover if threatening weather approached and stay indoors.
However, the watch was no longer in effect as of 6:30 p.m.
