P.E.I. campaign trail: tax fairness, health, Trudeau and jazz

The Liberals and the Green Party are getting some extra help in the P.E.I. election campaign Thursday.

The Liberals and the Green Party are getting some extra help in the P.E.I. election campaign Thursday.

Federal Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau will visit P.E.I. and attend a rally for the provincial party at Credit Union Place in Summerside at 7 p.m.

Green Party Leader Peter Bevan-Baker welcomes federal MP Bruce Hyer and New Brunswick MLA David Coon to help its party's campaign. The three will attend the P.E.I. Business Women's Association mixer at the P.E.I. Brewing Company in Charlottetown followed by a performance by the Green Party Jazz Band at the Pourhouse.

The Liberals and Progressive Conservatives will make policy announcements Thursday.

Progressive Conservative Party Leader Rob Lantz will announce his party's health care platform and 10 a.m. at the Cornwall Pharmasave. Lantz will spend the rest of the day campaigning in Districts 13 and 14.

Liberal Leader Wade MacLauchlan will talk tax fairness at an event at Murphy's Community Centre  in Charlottetown at 10:30 a.m.
