Alex Trebek 'up and about' after heart attack
Jeopardy! host expects to be back on the set next month
Canadian-born quiz show king Alex Trebek is out of jeopardy as far as his health is concerned, his spokeswoman said Monday.
Trebek, 71, was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angles Saturday with what was described as a mild heart attack.
Sony Pictures Television spokeswoman Paula Askanas said the Jeopardy! host is still in hospital, but itching to return home.
"Alex is up and about and in good spirits while doctors complete their testing at Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute," Askanas told the New York Daily News.
Trebek expects to be back on the set of Jeopardy! when shooting for a new season begins next month, she added.
He has hosted the quiz show, which won a Daytime Emmy Award on Saturday, for 28 years.
The incident marked Trebek’s second heart attack, following one in 2007.
