Baby, one more time, for Britney Spears

Pop singer Britney Spears has given birth to a second baby boy, according to U.S. media reports.

Pop singer Britney Spears has given birth to a second baby boy, according to U.S. media reports.

The boy, as yet unnamed, was delivered around 2 a.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles by caesarean section, an unnamed family source is reported as saying.

Spears, 24, also had a planned caesarean for the birth of her first child, Sean Preston, in September 2005.

In the past year, the singer of hits such as Oops IDid It Again and Baby One More Time, has been in the news more for her parenting skills than for her music.

She was publicly criticized for allowing her son to ride in the car without a car seat and for almost dropping him.

Her husband Kevin Federline, 28, has a daughter and a son with actress Shar Jackson.

Federline, who is trying to launch a career as a rap singer, said on the The Ellen Degeneres Show earlier this month that it's "hard to compete" with Spears as "everyone loves her."

Spears posed nude and six months pregnant for the cover of Harper's Bazaar earlier this year.

The image created controversy in August when Tokyo's Metro declined to post an ad for that issue of the magazine, deciding the picture was too "stimulating" for commuters.

The Japanese transit agency later reversed its decision.
