Ben Affleck to direct, star in solo Batman movie: report
The 42-year-old Oscar-winning writer and director may also co-write the project
Looks like Ben Affleck is going even deeper into the Dark Knight.
The actor and Oscar-winning writer and director has reportedly signed on to direct and star in an upcoming Batman standalone movie, according to industry media outlets Deadline and Hollywood Reporter.
The 42-year-old would also co-write the project alongside DC's creative head and TV scribe, Geoff Johns, who is known for his work on Smallville, Arrow, and The Flash.
Affleck, who most recently made headlines for his divorce from wife and fellow actor Jennifer Garner, is also playing the black-masked crusader in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Batman was also spotted on the set of David Ayer's supervillain flick Suicide Squad during filming in Toronto.
It's expected that production on a Batman standalone film will start after Affleck completes his directing gig on the crime novel adaptation Live by Night.
