A Toronto middle school got a taste of the Hollywood spotlight Monday when the director and stars of the upcoming movie Creed dropped by for a visit.
For weeks, Queen Alexandra Middle School's grade 8 class has been hard at work on a mural about perseverance – also a dominant theme of the Rocky spin-off.
The upcoming drama stars Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Creed, a young boxer fighting to build his own legacy under the tutelage of his late father Apollo's colleague and rival Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone).
Jordan, co-star Tessa Thompson and director Ryan Coogler – the filmmaker behind the highly praised Fruitvale Station – paid the Toronto school a surprise visit midday on Monday.
