Justin Bieber appears set to take on Derek Zoolander in Zoolander 2
'Working on something big right now in Europe,' the Boyfriend singer hinted to fans
Canadian pop star Justin Bieber appears set to take on Derek Zoolander in the highly anticipated fashion comedy Zoolander 2.
Bieber teased fans Monday with a cryptic Twitter post hinting that he is "Working on something big right now in Europe."
It was a photo featuring Zoolander star Ben Stiller and that appears to cement Bieber's involvement in the film.
The picture, shared by both Stiller and Bieber on Wednesday, shows Stiller as the dim-witted but "really, really, ridiculously good looking" male model Derek Zoolander facing-off with a brunette Bieber, who is giving his best "blue steel" stare.

It's not clear if Bieber will have a big role in the upcoming comedy, or if he'll just make a cameo appearance. But an appearance in the franchise, which pokes fun at the beauty and fame industry, could to be a good fit for the singer who is trying to remake his spoiled superstar image.
Stiller is set to reprise his titular role and resume directing duties. Owen Wilson, who plays Zoolander's blond rival, Hansel, and Will Ferrell, who plays egomaniac designer Mugatu, will also appear in the sequel.
Filming is currently underway in Rome, and photographers captured crews filming a scene near the Colosseum with Stiller behind the wheel of a red sports car.
Zoolander 2 has an expected release date of Feb. 12 2016, but so far little is known about the plot.
Model promotion
Wilson and Stiller demonstrated their promotional skills last month when the pair made a surprise in-character appearance on the catwalks of Paris Fashion Week.

In the original Zoolander, Stiller's character is brainwashed into an assassination plot against a world leader, but is saved by Hansel.
The movie became a cult comedy hit, with Zoolander's absurd lines, such as "What is this? A centre for ants?" much-quoted in pop culture.
