Justin Bieber gets egg on his face in a new promotional video for the Canadian pop star's upcoming appearance on The Comedy Central Roast.

Several raw eggs explode in slow motion on the Baby singer's tattooed chest and squinting face in the promo shared Tuesday on Comedy Central's twitter page.

"Watch @justinbieber learn how poor, defenceless houses feel," reads the message, referencing the pop star's misdemeanour vandalism charge for throwing eggs at a neighbour's home.

Comedian Kevin Hart will serve as roast master in the annual televised event in which panel of comedians skewer a celebrity guest of honour with biting insults.

Bieber, who turns 21 on March 1, appears to be undergoing an image overhaul, complete with an unusually emotional apology for his past "arrogant" and "conceited" behaviour.

In a recent interview with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, Bieber explained he wanted to be roasted as a way of owning up to his mistakes.

The Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber will air in Canada on March 30 (at 10 p.m. ET/PT).
