Ramin Karimloo, Colm Wilkinson team for Les Misérables benefit
Les Misérables' current Jean Valjean and the man who famously originated the role will come together for a special charity performance in the new year.
Canadian actor Ramin Karimloo, who has earned widespread praise for the revived musical in Toronto and will also star in the upcoming Broadway run, is set to share the stage with Irish singer Colm Wilkinson for one night in January.
Toronto-based Wilkinson will appear as the Bishop (which he also played in the recent movie adaptation) opposite Karimloo's Valjean in the Jan. 11 evening performance of Les Misérables at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre.
Proceeds from the show will benefit five charities: Casey House, Covenant House, Ernestine's, The Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa and Theatre 20.
