Spears finalizes divorce from Federline

Pop princess Britney Spears has her divorce from Kevin Federline.

Pop princess Britney Spears has her divorce from Kevin Federline.

"Everything is finalized,"said Spears's attorney Laura Wasserafter a Superior Court hearing Monday in Los Angelesthat officially ended the marriage.

She said details of the alimony agreement will not be made public unless there is an enforcement issue.

"Most of that tracks the prenup," Wasser said, without elaborating.

Spears married Federline, a former dancer and aspiring rapper, in October 2004.

They separated last year and she filed for divorce in November, citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple have two sons, Sean Preston, 22 months, and Jayden James, 10 months.

Spears and Federline have shared custody of the boys since their separation and are planning to continue 50/50 access to the children after the divorce.

Federline has two children from an earlier relationship.

Final child custody arrangements will be settled in an Aug. 14 hearing. The custody details have been sealed because Spears fears her children could be targetted by kidnappers or paparrazzi, according to website TMZ.com.

Wasser said that Spears was "OK" with the terms of the settlement but that "she would like to be with her kids more."

Spears, who was a teen sensation with her debut album Baby, One More Time, is trying to relaunch her singing career.
