The Weeknd to be the face of H&M spring menswear line

Canadian pop sensation The Weeknd is teaming up with the Swedish fast-fashion brand as he fronts its upcoming menswear collection "Spring Icons Selected by the Weeknd."

The Weeknd is ready for his closeup as the new face of H&M.

The Canadian pop sensation is teaming up with the Swedish fast-fashion brand as he fronts its upcoming menswear collection "Spring Icons Selected by the Weeknd."

H&M is keeping tightlipped on the details, but did disclose that the line will feature key items handpicked by the Toronto-born singer-songwriter, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye.

The retailer plans to unveil the line at its stores on March 2.

2016 has proven to be a blockbuster year for the Weeknd, who scored multiple Juno and Grammy wins for his breakout album Beauty Behind the Madness.

He also nabbed an Oscar nomination for his slinky hit Earned It from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack.

The Weeknd's new album Starboy is due out Nov. 25, and he embarks on a tour beginning in Stockholm on Feb. 17, 2017.
