Afghan mission: Canada's last commander on a 'proud moment'

Maj.-Gen. Dean J. Milner, the last commander of Canadian forces in Afghanistan, arrived home Tuesday along with the last 93 soldiers from Canada's 12-year mission. And, he tells CBC's Hannah Thibedeau, he believes in Afghanistan's future.

Maj.-Gen. Dean J. Milner, the last commander of Canadian forces in Afghanistan, arrived home Tuesday along with the last 93 soldiers serving on Canada's 12-year mission.

Milner brought back the Canadian flag flown in Afghanistan. It was lowered at NATO headquarters last week.

In an interview with CBC News Network's Hannah Thibedeau, Milner speaks about the mission, the future of Afghanistan — and his plans to return to Kabul on vacation.
