Quebecers are parodying the Liberals' intense new posters

The Liberal Party's new black and red posters that are going up in Quebec are being mocked online, with an actual parody sign popping up in a Montreal riding as well.

The federal Liberal Party's dramatically lit, black and red signs in Quebec are a bold departure from the party's election posters in the rest of the country.

But to some, the signs look downright sinister, which has inspired creative parodies like this one from Montrealer Nique Yager.

These nefarious characters soon appeared online as well.

NDP candidate Hélène LeBlanc got in on the fun, too.

Despite the parodies, co-director of the Quebec federal Liberal campaign, Pablo Rodriguez, says he's welcomed all the attention the ads have received.
