'Easter Egg Nog' now a thing thanks to Peeps
Marshmallow milk has nearly as much sugar as pop
An Illinois-based dairy is making milk with flavours inspired by the popular chick-shaped marshmallow confection Peeps, including "Easter Egg Nog."
And although the boxes for the marshmallow and chocolate marshmallow flavours boast that they're "reduced fat," the flavoured milk has three times the amount of sugar as unflavoured milk, nearly as much as pop.

Cassidy Moody, a news producer for KSDK in St. Louis, found the milk yesterday morning at a local grocery store.

This led to an on-air segment this morning, with anchors trying the beverage almost as a dare.

While Moody described the chocolate marshmallow milk as "pretty good, actually," many on Twitter are using the hashtag #peepsmilk to take a pass.
Sorry Peeps, I'm probably going to pass on the new milk flavors. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Peepsmilk?src=hash">#Peepsmilk</a> <a href="http://t.co/MxGXpUoO3B">pic.twitter.com/MxGXpUoO3B</a>

Some, however, seem interested in expanding the season for egg nog beyond the traditional yuletide.
Nice to see someone moving the meter on non-seasonal egg nog. Easter, makes so much sense: <a href="http://t.co/os8lJVarr1">http://t.co/os8lJVarr1</a> <a href="http://t.co/4WqFhjE94j">pic.twitter.com/4WqFhjE94j</a>

Would you try Peeps-flavoured milk? Would you like to see egg nog sold around Easter?
