Stars dressed up for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards had to contend with a fierce foe on the red carpet — the incredibly hot Los Angeles weather.

The city hosting the awards at Microsoft Theater Sunday night had a special weather statement in place, according to the Weather Network. Throughout the day, temperatures felt as high as 37 C with the humidity. By the time the show started, it had cooled slightly to just over 30 C.

Extra host Mario Lopez documented what that type of weather felt like on the red carpet.

In between celebrity interviews, Lopez changed his sweat-soaked shirt several times.

While he was on the red carpet for the duration of the pre-awards show, he wasn't the only celebrity feeling the heat.

Actor Oliva Culpo said it was so hot outside that she "almost passed out." Cameras caught the moment on live television.

Entertainment Tonight co-host Kevin Frazier was caught having his forehead wiped down.

The weather became a big topic of conversation on the red carpet.

Some stars walked around carrying portable fans to keep themselves cool.

The Television Academy had some advice for all the actors walking the red carpet ahead of the awards.
