Introducing Merry Jane, Snoop Dogg's marijuana lifestyle site
Site scheduled to 'roll' out in October
Snoop Dogg has released his own lifestyle website, and unsurprisingly, it's all about weed.
It's called Merry Jane, an online repository for the latest in weed culture, business and information, reports Business Insider.
Snoop announced the new site at the TechCrunch Disrupt SF conference in San Francisco on Monday.
Merry Jane will include a cooking show, a database about strains and dispensary locations, interviews with celebrities who are down with the cause — like Miley Cyrus and Seth Rogan — and a show called "deflowered" about people's first experiences with marijuana, reports MarketWatch.
An early version went live Monday; but so far it's just a log-in page requesting visitors to "apply for early access."
The full site, which is set for an October launch, will be eventually funded by advertising and connecting "legal shops and customers," reports Agence France Presse.
But Snoop says, it's also going to do some social good.
"There are so many people in the closet, and we are giving them an opportunity to come out of the closet and just admit they like to smoke," he told the conference. "I'm a smoker, my name is Snoop Dogg, and I'm a stoner."
In case that wasn't abundantly clear.
